I found something awesome, and I just have to share it with y'all.

Whipped cream vodka.

{Don't worry, I was NOT drinking and driving when I took this pic...I just thought about snapping it before I drove the 5 minutes to get home. No alcohol was consumed until later Friday night. Just wanted to clarify. Drinking and driving is one of the stupidest things you could do. The other is smoking. Okay, I'll get off my soapbox now.}

Anywho, it's delish, trust me. TJ had some at a buddy's house a couple weekends ago and kept mentioning it, so I decided to swing by the liquor store Friday after work and get some. After we got home from dinner on Friday, we mixed up a couple beverages and boy, were they yummy!

TJ's Choice:

1 part Whipped Cream vodka

3 parts Orange Crush soda

My Concoction: 

{this is a variation of my version of a mudslide - 1 part each of vodka, Bailey's, and Kahlua}

1 part Whipped Cream vodka

2 parts Bailey's Irish Cream

splash of Kahlua

There are soooo many other delicious drinks that you can whip up.... 

Key Lime Cream Pie 

whipped cream vodka, pineapple juice, lime juice, half and half

Banana Cream 

whipped cream vodka, banana liqueur, lemonade, banana puree

Creamy Sunset 

whipped cream vodka, sour mix, pineapple juice, grenadine

Key Lime Delight 

whipped cream vodka, simple syrup, ginger ale, lime juice

Mango Cream 

whipped cream vodka, mango flavored vodka, sour mix, mango

Sparkling Sunrise 

whipped cream vodka, sparkling wine, simple syrup, OJ

Blue Breeze 

whipped cream vodka, blue curacao, lemon-lime soda

Peaches and Cream 

whipped cream vodka, peach schnapps, peach puree, sweet and sour

Sugar and Spice 

whipped cream vodka, coffee, sugar

Whipped Java 

whipped cream vodka, Baileys Irish cream, whipped cream

...the possibilities are endless!

Now go make yourself a beverage to get a head start on the weekend! It's 5 o'clock somewhere!

Oh Those Summer Nights... {WILW & OHP}

This is nothing new, but I love my morning coffee. I found a special edition mudslide flavor at BB&B last week, and I have to say, it gives the coffee a little flavor without being too overpowering. Gloria Jean's Butter Toffee flavor is really yummy too...I highly recommend it. 

After work last night, I decided to stop in Trader Joe's on my way home. I really just needed some lettuce, but clearly, I left with a lot more than that. Oops.

I love TJ's...not just because their shortened name is my hubby's name, but they've got great prices on a variety of meat, frozen foods, and flowers.  Oh, and they always have free samples and free coffee too...today was a small orange soda float! Yum!

I love warm summer nights where we can grill out and eat dinner outside. Yesterday morning started a little stormy, but it turned out to be a beautiful, sunshine-filled day.

On the menu was salmon burgers {courtesy of Trader Joe's} with dill mayo and onion and a side salad with feta. Delicious!

I also love Pinterest because it fills my head with a million ideas that I'll never be able to accomplish. Oh well, it's still fun!

Holiday Weekend, Cincinnati Style

I love weekends. I love 3-day Holiday weekends even more. Who doesn't?!??

This weekend was no exception. Friday night was spent having a nice dinner at Patrick's in downtown Zionsville. I hadn't been there for dinner in a long, long time, and it was fun to sit on their outside patio on Main Street.

On Saturday,  TJ and I drove to Cincinnati to visit my aunt and uncle and see a little baseball. After dinner at Skyline Chili {yum!}, we went downtown for the Reds game. My parents are both from Cincinnati, so we grew up as Reds fans. TJ and I just like going to various sporting events {if you couldn't tell that already!}, and we try to go to at least one Reds game each summer. If you live around Cincinnati and you haven't been to the Great American Ballpark, it's a lot of fun and a beautiful view!

It was a great game, we got free Reds hats {the one TJ is wearing}, and the Reds won!

Sunday was kind of a low key day...we had breakfast, went to church with my aunt and uncle, then cooked out with my aunt, uncle, cousin and cousin-in-law, and their 2 little boys. Boy oh boy, are they busy! They're constantly on the move and have so much energy! I tried to capture a few good pics of them, and I had to take a lot to get some keepers!

Considering it was 90+ degrees outside, we decided a little pool time was necessary. Only it was a little different....my uncle just finished painting the pool last week, and they were in the process of filling it up. Since it takes 3 days to fill up the 40,000 gallon pool, it was more like a little splash pool!

Even though the pool wasn't even half-full, that didn't stop us from a little R&R before the drive home. I can't wait to visit again later this summer and hopefully it'll be a little bit warmer then too!

A New Summer Look

In case you haven't noticed, I did a little spring/summer cleaning around here....

I felt like it was time for a fresh new look, so I splurged and spent a whopping $10 for this fun blog design courtesy of Designer Blogs. I'm really happy with how it looks! A fun design without spending a huge amount for custom blog design!

Check them out! They've got lots of free backgrounds, $10 templates, and pre-made templates, in addition to custom designs!

HELP!!!

I need some help people! I have been trying for months to try and clean up my reading list, but I am having some serious problems.

I go to the Blogger Dashboard...

Click on the little wheel next to the "View in Google Reader" link...

My computer sits and thinks for a little bit...

And then this screen comes up...

I am so tired of seeing this stupid error screen and would REALLY like it to go away!!! I like using Google Reader, but get so annoyed when there are a million bajillion posts from "The Krazy Coupon Lady." I subscribed to her site awhile ago when I first got started with couponing, but her hundred posts per day get on my nerves now. 

I've tried "unsubscribing" from blogs or sites in Google Reader, and it works temporarily, but as soon as I go back to the main Blogger Dashboard, they magically reappear in my Google Reader. I've even tried opening the site in Safari versus Firefox, and still, no such luck.

If any of you have an answer for me, PLEASE SHARE!

Friday Randoms

Yesterday was a good day. During lunch, I got an email I've been waiting awhile to get...that my fellowship for this coming year is accredited, meaning that it will be recognized as an official sports medicine fellowship. Woo hoo! I spilled the beans on it a little while ago, and you can read all about it here. I had to forward the big news to my family right away, and a little while later, I got this very sweet email back from my dad...

So sweet....thanks Daddy!!! :)

After an afternoon in clinic and sports physicals at my old high school last night, TJ and I went downtown for game #6 in the Pacers vs. Heat Playoffs. Unfortunately, the Pacers lost, but it was just fun to be downtown in all the excitement. It was also awesome to see the Fieldhouse packed full again, since it's been a number of years since the Pacers have been any good. Hopefully, they'll do even better next year!

I'm so excited for the long Holiday weekend. We're heading to Cincinnati tomorrow for a little visit with my aunt and uncle, and we'll be continuing our sports-filled weekend with a Reds game on Saturday night! We went to one game last summer, and the ballpark is a lot of fun! Lets go Redlegs!

Besides that, we'll probably get a little run in Saturday morning and watch at least part of the Indianapolis 500 on Sunday. We thought about going to the race, but with temps in the 90s forecasted for Sunday, we decided against it. That is just way too hot to be dealing with the big crowds of drunk people. We'll enjoy it from the comfort of an air conditioned room!

Oh, Siri...

I don't have much for y'all today, but I did want to share a pic from yesterday. I guess all my "pinspiration" in yesterday's post actually inspired me to wear a "stacked" look to work.

What do you think? Not too shabby considering it was a last minute decision before I walked out the door, but I do think I'll work on it. :)

Last night as the hubby and I were watching TV, we saw one of the new iPhone commercials, so, of course, I had to ask Siri some of the same questions...

Hahaha...but not quite as funny as this one from a couple weeks ago...TJ and I were watching Jeopardy and a clue came on about Stonehenge. Since we'll be in England next month, we were wondering how far away from London it was, and so naturally I asked Siri...

How does she come up with those answers?!??

Speaking of England, we've reached the ONE MONTH mark till our trip! I can't wait!!! Happy Thursday!

Arm Candy {Oh How Pinteresting}

I never used to be a big watch person. I've always had a watch, but it was more about function than style. Over the last year, I've changed my view of watches and look at them as more of a piece of jewelry than just purely serving a function. I have two watches that I primarily wear now, my white Fossil watch {you can catch glimpses of it in this post} and my black Coach watch that I got last Christmas.
