St. Lucia {Guest Post: Britt}

Today I'm very excited to introduce you to Britt. I was so happy to find her blog a month or so ago...not only is she from Louisiana, but her hubby just finished his first year of medical school! Congrats to them on surviving the first year!

Hello Paging Dr. Grace readers! My name is Britt, and I blog over at The Magnolia Pair! My husband and I are newlyweds living in Alabama with our pup. While my husband is in medical school, I blog about our day to day life including cooking, photography, and style. I am so glad to be here today while Emily is on vacation in Europe! Lucky them, and I hope they are having the best time! Thank you Emily for having me, I am so excited to share my story! Today, I am going to talk about my favorite vacation, and that would have to be my honeymoon to St. Lucia! On July 16, 2010 I married the love of my life and the next day, we headed out for our honeymoon! I'd argue that living in Barcelona in 2010 was the best vacation, but really, 7 days of R&R with my new shiny husband was the most wonderful time I've ever had!

Just arriving in St. Lucia these pictures were taken on the drive to the Sandals resort! We stayed at the La Toc resort, and it was breathtakingly beautiful! A great resort with so many fun activities, great food, and beautiful views of the island.

All of the restaurants have ocean views, and they are so beautiful. We couldn't wait for breakfast, lunch, and dinner so we could sit by the ocean and be mesmerized by St. Lucia's beauty!

The Pitons are the most beautiful mountains I have ever seen. They are breathtaking and wonderful to just stare at. Their unique forms seem unreal.

Eating lunch at the top of a local restaurant to get some of the most personal views was amazing. I highly recommend taking an excursion to experience the Pitons! If you are engaged, married, or just looking for a beautiful place to go, I highly recommend going to the beautiful St. Lucia! I have been to the Caribbean, Hawaii, Mexico, and I have to say this is the most beautiful place in my opinion. Although Hawaii almost ties with St. Lucia, it's beauty is incredible. The people are great and so wonderful to talk to. We went during their Carnival celebration which was a really neat experience! I think I definitely need to add St. Lucia to my list of must-see places! Beautiful!

Seville, Spain {Guest Post: Tess}

I'm so excited to introduce you to Tess today. I love reading about all of her LA adventures from discovering new bars and restaurants, to the beach and cardio barre classes...I seriously want to meet up and have a drink with her whenever I get myself to LA! Tess is also newly engaged, and when she posted about her wedding binder, I knew that we could be great friends in real life! :) Enjoy!

Hi Paging Dr. Grace readers! Since Miss Emily is on vacation, I thought I'd give you a glimpse of one of my favorite vacations.

The caption sums up what I write about, but my blog is sort of a catch-all for everything that is going on in my life, and in my head.

I absolutely love to travel - and I do it often so it was hard for me to narrow down one favorite trip...however this trip was really one for the books.

My sister was studying abroad in Seville, Spain last spring, and my family of five decided to go and visit her for a 12 day trip. 

This was my second time to Spain, but I loved this trip so much for a couple of reasons.

1. Family time

As we all get older it's harder for us to travel with just us. My fiance accompanies on a lot of trips now, which is obviously amazing, but it was really nice to have the original 5 of us spend so much time together. 

 

2. The sights

Spain has so much to offer. The art, architecture, museums, castles, gardens, churches....ohh, it's just beyond glorious.

 

3. Beaches

Every perfect vacation in my book has to include some lounge time.

4. The wine (and Champagne)

And for that matter, it also must include good drinks

5. The restaurants.

Notice that I did not say food. I'm not a fan of authentic Spanish food, but their restaurants are beautiful and the service is exceptional.

I couldn't agree more that every vacation should include some lounge time on the beach and great drinks...preferably at the same time!
